Copy and paste web page content into a document using a few easy commands.
Copy and paste interesting articles and text found on the Internet to a word-processing document for personal use and reference. Control the formatting of the web page text to ensure hyperlinks stay intact. Hyperlink is a term used to describe the clickable, blue, highlighted text that opens another page with more information on the given topic of the web page and website. Use a copy and paste function to ensure text and hyperlinks are saved from the web page.

Instructions

      Highlight the text and hyperlinks of the web page using your “Select” command. Drag your mouse over the text without letting go of the button until you get to the end of the text.

      Right-click your selected text. Select “Copy” from the drop-down box. Optionally, click “Edit” from the top menu and click “Copy” from the drop-down box.

      Open your word-processing document. Click “File” from the top menu and then click “New” from the drop-down box. Paste your copied web page by right-clicking your mouse inside the document and selecting “Paste.” Optionally, click “Edit” from the top menu and select “Paste.”

      Hover your mouse over the highlighted link of the pasted content. If a web address appears, the hyperlink is properly copied. Press the “Control (Ctrl)” key on your keyboard, and then click on the hyperlink to confirm you can access the website from your document.
